We are so excited to present our next release, Flashbacks Vol. 1, a VA compilation featuring long lost psych, pop, and garage gems from nearly forgotten bands of the acid soaked late 60s. This release is a very special release for us as it opens up a new sub category of Sundog Sound called the Sundog Preservation Society which primarily focuses on unearthing rare unheard gems from artists of the 60s and 70s who have all but disappeared if not for a few rare 7" and 12" records. Sundog Preservation Society releases are strictly vinyl only and we never make any money off of the preservation project. This is purely intended to be released to preserve the historic nature of these long lost songs.

Flashbacks Vol. 1 consists of 16 different acid soaked garage rock songs originally released sometime between 1966 and 1969, ripped and remastered from their original 7" pressings.

"I've always been a huge fan of the Nuggets compilation series ever since I was a child.. Although, I always felt like Nuggets focused more on the artists that went on to be cult classics rather than focusing on the bands that influenced those cult classics. I dug up a 7 hour collection of 7" and 12" vinyl rips I had done a long time ago and stored on a hard drive. I started diving into this collection of music and tried doing several hours of research to find any amount of information on any of the 16 bands featured on the compilation. I couldn't find a single thing, as if they all never existed. I decided to put together a set of my favorite songs from the garage 7" section and release a compilation to keep this music alive. If it weren't for the rare records i encountered, I wouldn't have heard any of these songs. I can only imagine how many others are interested in hearing this stuff? As a label we also decided to keep this project strictly released on vinyl only and refuse to make any money off of it. I really just want this music available for those who wish to seek it out and for the sake of historic preservation.
